Our main Service including Junior Church is on Sunday at 10:30 am where everyone receives a warm welcome. There is a dedicated family area in Church with books and toys available. The Church has wheelchair access.
Worship is led either by one of our ministers, by local preachers or occasionally by members of the congregation. The service includes a mixture of traditional and more contemporary hymns accompanied on the organ or piano. Hymn words, images and videos are projected on a screen, and the service includes Bible readings, prayers and a relevant, challenging and contemporary message. The service lasts about an hour, is live streamed and can be watched at the time or later on our YouTube channel. Coffee, tea and biscuits are available after the service and this is a good time to chat and get to know people.
Junior Church
Junior Church for children aged 4-12 meets at 10.30am in the church with the adult congregation and after 10-15 minutes leaves for its own activities which include interactive Bible stories, crafts, games and videos.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion takes place once a month as part of the Sunday morning service. There is also a midweek Holy Communion service monthly on Wednesday morning, followed by refreshments.
Praise Parties
These informal services for all ages take place on the first Sunday of the month from 4.30 – 5.30pm. We sit at tables in small groups of families and friends and do a warmup song to a lively video, act out a drama, sing songs, watch a relevant video, do crafts and finish it all off with tea – sandwiches, sausages, crisps, cake and drinks. This is all provided free for both children and adults.
Music in Worship
Music plays an important part of our Sunday worship with a strong lead from the choir and organists in our hymn singing. Sunday morning services include a mix of traditional hymns and modern songs. We are always happy to learn new hymns and songs. Our choir meets at 9.45am to rehearse before the Sunday morning service, a good opportunity to warm up the voice and sort out any tricky musical corners in the hymns and songs!
